It means Tito Vilanova’s cannot mathematically be caught, and will go into Sunday evening’s game against Atletico Madrid as champions.
The Catalan club have become only the second team to win the title leading from Week One to Week 38 of the campaign. They netted 105 times in 34 matches, and have lost just two games all term - at Real Sociedad and away to Real Madrid.
A victory procession will take place in the city on Monday, before they lift the trophy next weekend during the home match with Real Valladolid.
