‘Sevilla are a prestigious club’

Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini hopes his side play a 'good derby' when they face Sevilla on Sunday evening.

The Boquerones host the Rojiblancos looking for the three points that could take them above Valencia and into fifth place.

But the Chilean Coach knows that Unai Emery's men will pose a real threat.

“Sevilla have a great team,” he told a Press conference. “They were designed to fight for the Champions League places.

But due to their circumstances it has been a slightly irregular year for them.

Sevilla are a very prestigious club.

Hopefully we can play a good derby. Both teams are playing for important things.

“If we win tomorrow, it virtually assures us a place in the Europa League.”

The 59-year-old then commented on his, and some of his squad members, futures.

Everyone wants to stay at Malaga,” he insisted. “But unfortunately, circumstances may not allow that.”
