Ramos holds team meeting

Sergio Ramos reportedly called a meeting between Real Madrid’s players this week in a bid to focus the team away from controversy in the media.

Recent clashes between players and coaching staff have dominated headlines in the past few weeks, with Jose Mourinho’s reluctance to use captain Iker Casillas the sticking point.

Ramos, who today asserted publicly that all parties need to put their egos aside for the good of the team, reportedly called all the players to a meeting to make clear the message.

With no coaching staff present, Ramos is said to have insisted on the need for a truce, with the Copa del Rey Final against Atletico Madrid coming up next Friday.
