Lionel Messi has continued his recovery separate from Barcelona teammates and is reportedly aiming for 45 minutes this weekend.
The Argentine sat out the midweek defeat in the Champions League to Bayern Munich out of discomfort over his thigh injury sustained last month and yesterday came in for a double workout session with physio Juanjo Brau.
Messi’s recuperation has continued into today with a run of physiotherapy, with it understood that medical and technical staff are targeting that the Argentine features for 45 minutes this weekend at home to Real Betis.
Meanwhile, Javier Mascherano also continued his recovery from a knee injury by working alone, Victor Valdes used a specified routine, Eric Abidal rejoined the group and Sergio Busquets took part in some of the team’s exercises too.
