Manuel Pellegrini has claimed that his Malaga side 'still believe' they can make next season's Champions League.
The Andalusian side are currently banned from taking part in the tournament next term after a series of financial irregularities. But the Chilean Coach has insisted that his team still hope that the Court for Arbitration in Sport [CAS] can overturn the ruling.
They must, however, start to improve performances on the pitch first, starting this weekend against Getafe.
“We still believe we can get into the Champions League,” he told a Press conference. “Whilst it is still mathematically possible, we believe.
“We have to get three points against Getafe first – that is very important to us.
“This is an important game in terms of European qualification for us.
“It is also important for Getafe though. They are playing good football and have some very good players.
“We are going to have to play well if we want to win.”
