Napoli have reportedly asked Sevilla after Alvaro Negredo and are seen as having an advantage over Fiorentina.
Negredo is seen as available on the market for the right price this summer as Sevilla look to service a €50m debt.
Fiorentina were reported earlier in the week as prepared to come back in with a higher bid this coming summer, but Estadio Deportivo now believe that they will face competition from their own League in the form of Napoli.
Negredo is understood to be set to only decide his future at the end of the season, with it thought that he is predominantly after European football that Sevilla may yet qualify for.
If they do not and he has to consider his options, it is reported that he would prefer a side like Napoli over Fiorentina for their more consolidated position in reaching Europe each season.
It is also believed that the Italians face competition from the Premier League for Negredo, with Newcastle, Swansea and Tottenham having all apparently scouted the player this season.
