Chelsea are in pole position to sign Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao, reports in England have suggested today.
The Daily Mail have claimed that owner Roman Abramovich has given the go-ahead for a €50m bid for the Colombian striker, and will offer the forward £200,000 a week.
Goalkeeper Thibault Courtois is crucial in the deal however. The Belgian shot-stopper is on a season-long loan at Vicente Calderon, and Diego Simeone's side want to keep the No. 1 for another year if they are to let Falcao go to Stamford Bridge.
