Granada urge togetherness

Granada have issued a statement calling on everyone to unite behind the team in their bid to avoid relegation.

Recent form has seen the Andalucians pick up just two points from the last 24 available and, combined with Deportivo’s ascent, has left them just a point and a place above the relegation zone after Week 31.

“Right now we all have to be united. It would be very dramatic for the city of Granada that our team lose their place in this beautiful League,” read a statement posted on the club’s official website today.

“The fans, media, institutions and club have to join hands to achieve the goal of survival together.

“We realise that it is difficult to forget the ordeals of the past season, but there is no choice other than to all keep pulling the cart together.

“Criticisms, reviewing players, Coaches or officials are all worthless now. Such attitudes do not help.

“There will be a time for analysis, evaluations and everything else, once Granada have achieved survival in the League.

“This treasure we have recovered after 35 years has to remain with Granada and granadinistas for a long time.”
