Ibra: Messi a natural, Ronaldo…

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reflected on who he prefers between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and why, and on how he is grateful to David Beckham.

The striker is set to face up to Barcelona’s Messi, if the Argentine is passed fit, in tonight’s Champions League quarter-final second leg with Paris Saint-Germain.

Ahead of that, Ibra sat down with CNN to reflect on a number of points, including who he felt was the best player in the world at the moment.

“Messi, because he is a natural, whilst Cristiano Ronaldo is the result of training,” commented Ibrahimovic.

“The best Coach? There have been many, but I will stick with Capello and Mourinho.”

The Swede also revealed his gratitude towards David Beckham for pulling some of the off-field attention away from him in Paris.

“I think it's good for me that Beckham came so he gets more attention than me, so they leave me a little bit alone.

“Since I came here, everybody said don't worry, as a football player you can walk in the city and nobody will disturb you because as a football player it is not like it is in Italy.

“But since the day I came here it's been totally stressful. Everybody is chasing me with their scooters. I don't even walk in the streets.

“So when David came he got more of the media. That's good because he takes care of that and I can play football and focus on football.”
