Real Madrid are understood to have signed full-back Marcelo to an improved three-year extension on his contract.
The Brazilian, who has recently lost his place in Jose Mourinho’s preferred XI to Fabio Coentrao, has reportedly already penned a deal to June 2018.
The contract, which is extended from its original June 2015 expiry, also reportedly hands the 24-year-old a pay rise from €2.3m a season after tax to €4m a season after tax.
Marca note that Marcelo is now the seventh defender in the squad to be contractually tied to the club until at least June 2016.
