Vilanova, Abidal travel with Barca

Barcelona have departed for Paris ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain, with Tito Vilanova and Eric Abidal.

For the first leg of their last eight meeting, the Catalans have included both their recovered Coach and French defender.

Vilanova only returned to Catalonia last Tuesday, after two months in New York receiving post-operative treatment for cancer, whilst Abidal was included in a first Barcelona matchday squad in over a year at the weekend, after a year away following a liver transplant.

At the same time, both Xavi Hernandez and Jordi Alba are expected to be fit for Tuesday’s clash, included in the 21-man playing squad travelling out today.

Only first-team members Adriano, Pedro Rodriguez, Jonathan dos Santos and Carles Puyol do not make the trip.

B team members Gerard Deulofeu and Oier Olazabal are also in the squad.
