Cavani to Madrid ’50 per cent’ likely

Edinson Cavani’s father has revealed that the Napoli striker is ‘50 per cent’ likely to join Real Madrid this summer.

Much has been said recently about Cavani’s future and the €70m buy-out clause in his contract, as Manchester City, Chelsea, Juventus, PSG, Anzhi and Real Madrid have all been linked.

Reports circulated that Los Blancos were his first choice and Luis Cavani, his father and representative, spoke to Marca TV.

“At the moment Edinson has a 50 per cent chance of signing for Real Madrid. Napoli turned down offers from many clubs, but I think that if a proposal for €60m arrived then Edinson would be sold.

“It’s not easy to negotiate with Napoli.”
