Adrian: I want to renew at Betis

Real Betis goalkeeper Adrian has handed the club a boost with the declaration that he would like to sign a new contract.

Rumours have been growing that delays in talks over a renewal since December were a sign that the 26-year-old was set to leave in the summer, with his current deal set to expire in June.

However, the goalkeeper, who has broken into the first team this season, told supporters via a Google Hangout event that he is keen to stay on at the Benito Villamarin.

“It has stopped a little since Christmas, but I’d like to sign on because I have been a betico since childhood and I want to continue here,” he commented today.

“As times passes it will be fixed because both the club and me agree and I would love to.”
