Casillas steps up recovery

Iker Casillas has moved to the latest stage of his recovery from injury, as he begins working with his hands again at Real Madrid training.

The goalkeeper has been out of action since the end of January after requiring surgery on a fractured hand sustained during Madrid’s Copa del Rey fixture at Valencia.

Returning to field work on schedule last week, the 31-year-old has now moved on to working once more with his hands.

Whilst he remains under precautionary workouts, this is seen as the final stage of his recovery before receiving the medical green light to rejoin the main group sessions.
