Porto will try and win, insists Pereira

Porto Coach Vitor Pereira has insisted his side will not try and defend their 1-0 lead against Malaga tomorrow.

The Portuguese side travel to Andalusia to face Manuel Pellegrini's men on Wednesday in the last 16 of the Champions League.

And the 44-year-old has claimed that his men will not try and sit on their lead.

“Malaga need to score,” he told a Press conference. “But if we get one, we'll be able to put a lot of pressure on them.

“We are not playing to defend the result. We will try and take the initiative. We have ambition, and tomorrow we'll be the same team we always are.

“Malaga have great individuals and are fantastic as a collective – but both teams will try to win.”
