Pepe: We’ll keep fighting

Pepe has promised Real Madrid’s full involvement in La Liga until the very end, despite the disadvantage they are in.

Los Merengues took second place in Week 27 with a 2-1 win at Celta Vigo, but they still sit 13 points behind League leaders Barcelona.

“The Real Madrid players are very focused on what we need to do, it will be hard to fight for the League title because we have a lot of points to make up, but we have be motivated all of the time and play for the honour of the shirt,” Pepe declared post-match.

“We will keep fighting. We are relaxed, people have been talking from the beginning of the season, but we have been fighting to achieve our objectives and that is how we’ll continue.

“Things went well [on Sunday] and we worked hard to for the win. [Celta] equalised, but we were able to get another goal. Luckily, we fixed it.

“Celta has fought well to try to get points at home. The most important thing is that the team fought hard and gave everything, the win is well deserved.”
