Ernesto Valverde was disappointed with his Valencia team after they lost 1-0 to Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
Iker Muniain scored a late winner to give Los Leones the three points that ensured the away team couldn't get into the top four positions.
And the 49-year-old has admitted that his side should have got more from the match.
“We lost a great opportunity to enter the Champions League places,” he told a Press conference.
“Bilbao pushed us, but we saw that we could harm them. We're not very happy because we know we should have got more from this match.
“We thought we could get something here today.”
