Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis has admitted that Diego Simeone's contract renewal is important for the club.
The Argentine Coach extended his deal with the capital side until 2017 this week, and the Brazilian full-back has conceded that his stay will coincide with a prolonged period of success.
“It is important for us to know that we are all at a club with a long-term project,” he told AS.
“The Coach has done everything for the club and he continues to do so.
“He has never let his guard down and has proper football experience. He has renewed, and that will hopefully encourage others to stay.
“I have grown as a player under him. And so has the rest of the team.”
