Reports indicate that Real Madrid will be without Angel Di Maria for the next two weeks after initial tests were carried out on his hamstring injury.
The Argentine was taken off before half-time of Madrid’s eventual win at Manchester United in the Champions League Last 16 second leg on Tuesday complaining of having felt a sharp pain in the back of his left thigh.
Initial reports suggested that he had strained the hamstring muscle and, whilst there has been no official confirmation from the club yet, reports today are that tests carried out have revealed that the player will require a two-week lay-off to recover.
Indicative of a grade I strain in the muscle, the winger would be ruled out of Madrid’s upcoming League games against Celta Vigo and Mallorca.
