Tino Costa rued Valencia’s struggles to create chances in their Champions League Last 16 aggregate defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite shading the play on the night, Los Che failed to add to Jonas’ early second-half strike, before Ezequiel Lavezzi’s goal at the other end, for the aggregate score to finish 3-2 to the French.
“They were packed together very well in defence and we had to work hard to attack and create chances,” commented the Argentine at full-time.
“We should have taken advantage of the many corners we had. What sticks in our mind now is that we are out.
“We strived, but we are disappointed to be leaving the Champions League.
“The first leg? We are reminded of the mistakes we made then when in situations like this.
“What happened at Mestalla is a while back, but we knew that we could not make those errors again tonight.”
