The Technical Committee of Referees has decided to put Barcelona’s Gerard Pique up for disciplinary action for his actions after the weekend’s Clasico.
The defender has been reported to the Spanish Football Federation’s Competition Committee for the handcuff gesture he made towards the referee during Saturday’s defeat to Real Madrid, as well as the comments he made in the Press immediately afterwards.
Pique, who spoke of the referee as being in favour of Madrid for having missed a late penalty call for the Catalans, now faces disciplinary action.
Previous cases for Wakaso, Diop and Juanlu have all resulted in €1,500 fines.
