Valencia playmaker Sergio Canales has revealed that he is feeling 'much better' after suffering from a long-term knee injury.
The 22-year-old has had two operations on a knee ligament injury in the space of 18 months.
But the former Real Madrid man has admitted that he is getting back to full fitness after slowly being reintroduced by Coach Ernesto Valverde, whilst also commenting on Los Che's ambitions for the season.
“I am feeling much better,” he told reporters. “I'm sure in the next few weeks I will have some more minutes on the pitch.
“We didn't have a great start to the season so third place is going to be very difficult for us.
“But we have to fight until the end and try to get at least fourth and into the Champions League places.
“There are some teams doing very well, so we know it's going to be difficult.”
