Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Iturraspe has insisted that the team are 'more eager than ever' after losing to their Basque rivals Real Sociedad on Friday.
The San Mames side have endured a torrid time this season - going out of the Copa del Rey and the Europa League before Christmas, and currently sitting in 16th place in La Liga.
But the 23-year-old has claimed that the team will do all they can to avoid further embarrassment in the campaign.
“Everyone is aware that we haven't had a good time this season,” he told AS. “When things do not go your way, everything becomes more difficult.
“But in such a situation we have to work harder and put more hours in on the training field.
“We have to keep our heads up and show what we are made of.”
The Spain Under-23 international also commented on Coach Marcelo Bielsa.
“Everyone, including the Coach, are more eager than ever. He is a person and a Coach who has given so much – we have no doubts about him.
“He is the sort of character that gets stronger the worse the situation is.”
