Valencia have made contact with Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol in a bid to re-sign him in the summer, Marca have reported this evening.
Los Che have spoken to the 27-year-old regarding a possible move at the end of the season, and the Madrid-based newspaper believe that a deal could be struck soon.
The Spain international left the Mestalla club for Los Blancos in 2009 in a deal worth around €15m.
But, it seems, Albiol is disenfranchised with life at Santiago Bernabeu as Raphael Varane leaps ahead of him in the defensive pecking order.
His current contract runs out in 2017, but Valencia are confident they can get their man for around €8m.
