River ‘bringing back Demichelis, Saviola’

River Plate’s Vice-President Diego Tunes has claimed the club have an agreement in principle to sign Javier Saviola and Martin Demichelis from Malaga.

Both Demichelis and Saviola are out of contract at La Rosaleda this summer and both began their careers back in their native Argentina with River Plate.

Speaking to Fox Sports Radio del Plata, the Argentine club’s Vice-President has claimed that his recent trip to Malaga saw him make contact with the duo.

“We are going to get Demichelis and Saviola, I told them that we will bring them here in June,” stated Tunes.

“The fans forever love them and we are waiting, like Aimar, D’Alessandro…”

Tunes was in Malaga at the weekend to negotiate a payment structure for the debt owed by the Anchovies on Diego Bounanotte’s move in 2011.

“We have reached a payment plan. With Malaga we have an agreement in principle.”

Demichelis has already confirmed that he will only consider his future at the end of the season, when his contract is up.
