Giampaolo Pazzini labelled his Milan side’s 2-0 win over Barcelona last night as ‘the perfect game’.
The Italians take a two-goal advantage to Barcelona for the second leg of their Champions League Last 16 encounter thanks to a hard-fought victory at San Siro that frustrated the Catalans.
“We’re all delighted. The Coach prepared us well for this game,” enthused Pazzini post-match.
“On night’s like tonight, the individual aspect goes to the background. I think you could see that we were a team this evening.
“The fans were fantastic and it was a stupendous evening. We played a perfect game.
“We did well as we didn’t get impatient and I believe Milan deserved the win. But we know it will be tough in the second leg.”
Milan have the small matter of a derby with Inter to contend with this weekend.
“Now we have to get our energy back. We’ll be thinking about Inter from Thursday…”
