Paco Herrera has complained that nobody from Celta Vigo has yet to inform him that he has been sacked, as reports have it.
Monday morning saw stories emerge that the struggling Galicians had decided to dispense with Herrera yesterday and that they were in negotiations with former Granada boss Abel Resino to replace him.
However, whilst the news is widely expected to be confirmed in the coming hours, nobody from the club has yet told Herrera.
“Unfortunately, still nobody from the club has called me. After almost three years, I think out of respect they should have communicated something,” complained the 59-year-old to EFE today.
Herrera returned Celta to the top flight last season, but has seen his team struggle for goals this term. Defeat to Getafe this weekend has left the team in 18th position, four points adrift of safety.
