Week 26 Clasico set for 4pm

Real Madrid will host Barcelona for the Week 26 League Clasico at the unusual slot of 4pm local time on Saturday afternoon.

Following on from Mediapro’s assurance yesterday that the fixture would be set at this time, the Spanish Football League have made official that the game will be the first of the Saturday fixtures that weekend.

Madrid had requested that the game be played as early as possible, so as to guarantee as much preparation time as possible before facing Manchester United the following midweek in the return leg of their Champions League tie.

Week 26 also sees Getafe host Real Zaragoza in a Friday night match, the Valencian derby played out on Saturday evening, Granada and Malllorca take Sunday lunch together and Sevilla-Celta Vigo close the weekend on the Monday night.
