Roura: Tito still fully involved

Barcelona assistant Jordi Roura has insisted that Tito Vilanova's absence has not affected the team in any way.

The current Coach is in New York undergoing specialist treatment for the cancer relapse he suffered just before Christmas.

But the 45-year-old has claimed that there has been no issues since his departure, whilst also commenting on the lunchtime match against Getafe tomorrow.

“We have had permanent contact with Tito via the telephone and email,” he told a Press conference.

“It has been perfect – he has access to all the reports and despite the distance, has been fully involved.

“There is a video system we have at the club that even allows him to see the training sessions.

“He has been fully involved ahead of the Getafe game. They are a team that has always caused us problems in the past.

“Playing at lunchtime doesn't really bother us. It is the same for both sides, so there are no excuses.”

Roura also remarked on the news that Real Madrid have sued Catalan television station TV3 after a video depicted Los Blancos' players as hyenas hunting down Lionel Messi.

“I have not seen the video, so I can't really comment,” he added. “We have no affiliation with the station, so it doesn't alter our preparations.”
