Real Madrid have started legal proceedings against television station TV3 for what the club claim is 'misuse of public funds'.
The Catalan broadcaster showed a video on its Esport Club programme portraying Los Blancos' players as hyenas chasing down Lionel Messi.
The Santiago Bernabeu club have denounced the video, with Luka Modric claiming it was “unacceptable".
Presenter of the programme Xavi Valls has since issued an apology, insisting “we were wrong”.
