Tito Vilanova has delayed his otherwise expected return from New York this weekend in a bid to continue his medical treatment.
The Barcelona Coach was expected to take a break from his treatment for cancer and return to Catalonia over the weekend, with speculation that he may attend Barca’s match at Valencia on the Sunday.
However, it is reported today that the 44-year-old has postponed his return and will instead continue with his treatment, on the advice of doctors.
The purpose of the decision, say Sport, is so as to return fully recovered in anticipation of the final stretch in the season.
Vilanova has so far missed five official games on Barcelona’s bench this season, including the midweek Clasico draw with Real Madrid.
