Anzhi talking over Kaka

Russian Premier League outfit Anzhi Makhachkala are reportedly in preliminary talks with Real Madrid over a move for Ricky Kaka.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move out of the Santiago Bernabeu since the summer, but has so far struggled to find a new home.

Former club Milan re-entered into negotiations to take the 30-year-old back to San Siro on an initial loan basis this month, but were undone by financial aspects of the deal including Madrid’s insistence on a more permanent deal.

Anzhi, who have previously been paired with a move for the No 8, are reported by AS today as back in contention and having already entered into preliminary discussions ahead of the close of the transfer window this Thursday.

“Kaka has long been on Anzhi's agenda. There have been preliminary talks with Real Madrid, but not official yet,” the Madrid-based publication quote Russian agent Schumi Babaev as saying on the potential deal.

Former Real Madrid player Roberto Carlos, who is now Anzhi’s sporting director, was reportedly back in the Spanish capital last week to action negotiations for his compatriot Kaka.
