Diego Simeone has warned his Atletico Madrid players of the dangers Real Betis will present in this week’s Copa del Rey clash.
The capital club travel down to Seville this Thursday for the second leg of their Cup quarter-final, currently with a 2-0 advantage from the first leg.
“The fans of Betis are important and always with their team. It will be a tough match against a team that plays well in such an atmosphere,” warned El Cholo at his pre-match Press conference this afternoon.
“That’s what worries us. They are a tough opponent who we cannot neglect at any moment.
“We do not change the way we play and we want to remain on the same line of results. 90 minutes are many. We need to resolve the game as it comes to us.
“Betis are a team that creates many chances. We must be careful and try to cancel out their game. It is one game and if you do not concentrate then you will not succeed in it.
“We must be a strong and committed team. Hopefully we will not fall out of line.
“Falcao’s absence? He is a very important piece, but we have Costa, Adrian and Raul who can play in this position and are all great.”
