David Villa has reportedly met with Tito Vilanova to explain his frustration at not playing more games at Barcelona.
The striker is a few months into his playing comeback from a serious leg break sustained in December 2011, but has struggled for consistent playing time.
Whilst the club have made clear in public the intention to keep hold of the 31-year-old until at least the summer, rumours have continued to link him with a move away this winter.
Catalan-based Sport suggest today that he has recently met with Coach Vilanova to discuss the possibility of leaving this month.
Villa is reported to have told the tactician during a ‘cordial’ one-to-one of his psychological struggles for not playing regularly, borne out of the belief that his contribution to the team could be higher.
