Getafe are understood to be contemplating making a loan bid to take Jose Angel away from Real Sociedad for the rest of the season.
The former Sporting Gijon full-back has struggled to hold down a first-team place at Anoeta under Coach Philippe Montanier, since his return to Spain after a year in Italy with Roma.
Real have the player on a season-long loan from the Giallorossi and have a €3m option in place to make the move permanent.
However, it is understood that the conversations with the player’s agent have had him indicate that Angel would not sign on and instead listen to other offers, if he cannot get more minutes on the pitch.
Subsequently, fellow La Liga outfit Getafe are monitoring the situation and are believed in contention to take the player from Roma this month, as they need cover at full-back in light of Mane’s long-term injury.
