Barca to target De Gea?

Barcelona are tracking a number of goalkeepers as long-term replacements for Victor Valdes and Pinto.

The two current Blaugrana shot-stoppers are in the process, or have, renewed their contracts, but the Camp Nou club are still keeping tabs on several players, most notably Manchester United man David De Gea.

Barcelona-based newspaper Mundo Deportivo have revealed that Tito Vilanova's side want the former Atletico Madrid No.1, who has had a mixed time in the Premier League.

That would be a long-term option for the Catalan team, but the paper claim that a more immediate successor could be one of either Maarten Stekelenburg of Roma and Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer.

The Dutch goalkeeper has had mixed reviews in Italy since his arrival in 2011, and could be available for a fee of around €8m.

The Germany international however is widely regarded as one of the best keepers in the world and would command a colossal transfer fee.
