Deportivo midfielder Andre Santos has revealed that the club has gained a burgeoning support in Portugal this season.
The Turcos have eight players with Portuguese passports in the squad and have recently appointed a Portuguese Coach.
And the 23-year-old, who is on-loan from Sporting Lisbon, has told of how the club are crossing the Iberian border and also disclosed how he thinks he has performed this season.
“People in Portugal are looking at Deportivo a lot more,” he told Marca. “We are on Portuguese television a lot, and the people are paying closer attention to us.
“I was training well earlier on in the campaign, but just wasn't playing,” he added. “So it was good for me to play against Malaga in the last game.
“Even though I haven't been playing as much as I'd like to, I feel good here.”
