Real Madrid could be set to make a sensational move for Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets, according to reports in Spain.
Sport claim that the capital club are ready to make a move for the Blaugrana star with President Florentino Perez needing an 'ace up his sleeve' ahead of the next elections.
The Spain international is seen by the Santiago Bernabeu hierarchy as key to the Catalan team's success and are prepared to splash out to bring the 24-year-old to the current La Liga champions.
The Barcelona-based paper have already compared the rumoured transfer to that of Luis Figo's move from Camp Nou to Los Blancos in 2000 for a then world-record €61m.
Busquets has a contract at the club until 2015, with a minimum fee release clause of €150m.
