Real Zaragoza midfielder Romaric has torn a muscle in his right thigh, the club have confirmed this evening.
The Ivory Coast international was due to play against Real Betis on Friday before leaving for the African Cup of Nations.
But that looks to be in doubt after a MRI scan today showed the severity of the damage after an incident in Thursday morning's training session.
Reports suggest the 29-year-old could miss up to a month with the injury.
