Celta Vigo have confirmed that they have signed former Real Sociedad defender Vadim Demidov on a six-month loan deal.
The Norwegian was reported earlier today as on the verge of completing a temporary return to La Liga, after struggling to settle in the Bundesliga at Eintracht Frankfurt.
In a statement on their website, Celta have now confirmed that the deal has been completed and that the 26-year-old arrives on loan until the end of the season.
Demidov, who spent 18 months at Real Sociedad before leaving for Germany last summer, is training with his new teammates today and will be presented to the Press after today’s workout.
The Galicians were thought keen to reinforce their defence this winter in light of Samuel Llorca’s anterior cruciate ligament injury suffered in October.
