Tito Vilanova returned to Barcelona's training ground this morning and is described as intent on overseeing the weekend’s derby with Espanyol.
Last month the 44-year-old suffered a relapse in his recovery from a tumour on one of his salivary glands first operated on in November 2011.
Undergoing an operation on December 21, the Coach was later confirmed by Barca President Sandro Rosell as intending to mix his chemotherapy treatment with work duties and that he could be back at the club between the second and third week of January.
However, Vilanova has been pictured by Mundo Deportivo as back at the club’s training ground today, where he reportedly met with staff, but he did not oversee the morning's training session.
He is also reported as intent on providing his players with a moral boost by returning to the bench for Sunday’s Catalan derby with Espanyol.
