Joaquin Sanchez has reportedly already had his contract with Malaga extended by a year, thanks to a specific clause.
The winger, who is enjoying some notable form for the club this season, signed a two-year deal in the summer of 2011.
However, there was a clause inserted that guaranteed an automatic renewal for a third year, if the 31-year-old reached a specific number of appearances.
Reports today suggest that he has already surpassed the agreed total and has seen his contract with the club extended to June 2014.
