Sergio Canales is just a month away from a Valencia return after suffering from two knee ligament injuries in 14 months.
The 21-year-old has been plagued with injuries since his initial move to Mestalla in 2011, but the attacking midfielder has confirmed that he is close to comeback.
“After all this time I am really desperate to play again,” he told Super Deporte. “I know I have to be careful because I am only young, but I have a wild desire to play.
“Hopefully in a month I will be discharged fully. I am almost in full training and the truth is that I am doing very well.
“I have always said that I am really happy here. The whole team has given a lot of confidence and so I am even more eager to prove my worth.”
