Liverpool thinking to Feghouli

Sofiane Feghouli is reportedly a strong transfer target for Liverpool, but a move depends on his contract situation with Valencia.

Los Che have been in talks with the Algerian international since the early stages of the season over a new two-year extension to his current deal.

However, it has been reported more than once that even whilst all parties are keen to reach an agreement, the player is pushing for a wage closer to top earner Roberto Soldado, more than the club are believed happy to pay.

The situation, combined with his good form on the pitch, has prompted rumoured interest from a number of clubs including Paris Saint-Germain and several Premier League outfits.

Valencian-based Superdeporte believe that Liverpool have made the most noise in sounding out a potential bid, reportedly having already approached the club’s directors to ascertain whether or not the player is available.

It is widely believed that an answer hinges on the 22-year-old signing a new deal before he departs for the Africa Cup of Nations at the start of 2013.

With his current deal set to expire in June 2014, Los Che will otherwise move him out in one of the next two transfer windows.
