Real Mallorca have announced that French winger Michael Pereira will be out for two to three weeks.
The 24-year-old has strained the rectus femoris muscle in his right leg, and will therefore miss Sunday’s game against Levante, and quite possibly the forthcoming fixtures against Sevilla and Athletic Bilbao in La Liga, and against Sevilla again in the Copa del Rey.
It is a blow for Mallorca boss Joaquin Caparros, as only striker Tomer Hemed and goalkeeper Dudu Aouate have made more appearances than Pereira for the islanders in La Liga this season.
