Del Bosque pleased with nomination

Spain boss Vicente Del Bosque has conceded that he is delighted to be shortlisted for FIFA Coach of the Year.

The 61-year-old, who guided La Roja to Euro 2012 glory in the summer, has been nominated alongside Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho, but admits that he is slightly wary of such awards.

“I am happy because it's always nice to receive this kind of recognition,” he told a Press conference. “But as I have said countless times, I don't really believe in such awards.

“I think the most important thing is that all three Coaches belong to the Spanish League, which shows how high the level is in our country.”
