Guardiola to boss Brazil?

Reports are suggesting that former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola could take over the Brazilian national team as soon as tomorrow.

Brazil, under huge pressure to succeed as hosts of World Cup 2014, fired previous incumbent Mano Menezes yesterday. Santos boss Muricy Ramalho and former Chelsea tactician Luis Felipe Scolari have both been linked with the post but according to Marca Guardiola is also a strong contender.

The 41-year-old is currently on sabbatical in New York after leaving Barca at the end of last season. Only three days ago his agent insisted that he would not make any decisions regarding his future until January.

The Brazilian publication ‘Lance’ quotes a source saying the Selecao are the only team in the world Pep ‘would start training tomorrow.’
