Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez has picked up an injury whilst playing for Chile, according to AS.
The 23-year-old had to be substituted after just 20 minutes of his country’s 3-1 loss to Serbia with what looked like an ankle sprain following a tackle from Luka Milivojevic.
Alexis was replaced by Angelo Henrique and afterwards Chilean doctor Hernan Torres confirmed that the player was injured, although they declined to comment on the extent of the problem.
Barcelona face Real Zaragoza this weekend but Blaugrana boss Tito Vilanova will not know if he will have the former Udinese man available until club doctors examine him on his return to the Catalan capital on Thursday.
