Diego Simeone has admitted that his Atletico Madrid team played the ultimate 'game of two halves' as they defeated Getafe 2-0.
First half strikes from Adrian and Arda Turan were enough for the capital club to take all three points, but the Argentina Coach has conceded that he was disappointed with this side's second half performance.
“I the first half, everything went as we wanted,” he told a Press conference. “We were very good. But in the second half, not so.
“We sought the fastest way to win and were very effective, so I have to be happy with the result.”
He also commented on the rough treatment Radamel Falcao received during the game.
“I have to say that if Messi or Ronaldo received the fouls Falcao got this evening, then there would have been a lot more free kicks.
“Hopefully in the future referees will be more vigilant.”
