Juan Antonio Anquela is delighted for his Granada players to have ended their losing streak with a surprise win away to Real Betis.
“The team had been working and we have broken a run of many negative results that had gotten us down, so I believe that these are three points are precious,” explained Anquela at full-time.
“The win does not give me more breathing space, because if I lose then I don’t die. For certain though, the victory is very important as it brings three points to a team that has never stopped believing in itself.
“In the game we took many risks and in the end it went well, because the opponent could have drawn level in the final few moments.
“In addition, it is worth remembering that Betis are fourth and have come into this game on a good run… in the end we suffered a lot.
“We are not a team for frills. Some things had become more acceptable whilst also at times we had had the chances to kill a game before its end.”
